When you are really sensitive, I mean, maybe you know, when suddenly your eyes open and you stand in awe of inense colors. You may have gotten past that very point of that unpaved road a zillion times, maybe a point in your own walkt through your own life, and then:
Plop, you see it and you understand and your mind can’t even get a grasp that truth you experience.
A moment that looks like time stops and eternity begins. Some say, well, your inner self.. or: you’re plain weard. To me it’s that God, the creator of the universe sees me as I would see a little worm on the ground, and He opens my eyes to see things from His eternal perspective and no earthly problem matters anymore.

Just like with everything else, a thing doesn’t make you somebody you would like to be. When you buy a ballpoint, it doesn’t say you use it every day. When you buy an expensive golden or titanium ballpoint, it doesn´t make you a professional writer, does it?
When you buy a digital camera, it doesn´t make you a photographer. When you buy a professional DSLR it doesn´t say to your bank account to grow because you have a professional tool, on the contrary.. It even might look impressive or fool people to trust you doing your work in a professional way and maybe be dissapointed after the photoshoot.
On the other hand you can fool yourself that a better tool is the best solution to better photographs.
One time I phoned a professional store about a lens, and they told me never to reduce on lenses and allways buy the best, one which i couldn’t afford, so he couln’d (or wouldn’t) help out. It´s true that good tools easaly provide better results than less professional tools. But it´s not the tool that provides, it´s the user who maximuzes results out of a tool he uses, and knows his tool through and through.
It´s never about quantity, but quality; but never quality above ´quality usage´. And that’s only the technical part. Techical things don’t make you creative, but the right tools help to make your expression of creativity more like a reality for you.
And a wrong definition is to believe that ‘right tools’ would onle be the best and expensive tools available. Consider this: look at my blog and ask yourself: does he know all ins and outs about the tools he uses? I’d like to answer this: “no, i don’t”. My personal opinion is this: The right tools help out a lot, but it’s not the tools that make you grow in seeing things in your personal creative way and making a picture to express that in that very way.
